YSRC flays TRS for Sircilla hurdles: July 24, 2012

Hyderabad, July 24: Taking strong objection to the hurdles created at Sircilla Chenetha Deeksha, YSRC slammed TRS for trying to show off its hegemony over Telangana by branding people but in reality has no serious intention to solve the issue by negotiating with the right people at the right place.

“ TRS is trying to show its hegemony over Telangana but such an attitude will not work as it is deceiving the people of the region by drawing out a plan to drag the issue indefinitely to gain political mileage with the help of Congress,” party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao told reporters here today.

YS Vijayamma was there to undertake a dharna to protest against the plight of weavers who were not receiving pensions and are in despair for lack of economic support and TRS which only has political motives and nothing else in mind has gone all out to block a genuine protest.

“This clearly shows that TRS is not interested in the welfare of BCs, SCs, STs, minorities and women and they only want to brand people with regional affiliations. If that be the case people who voted for YSRC hail from the region and are protagonists of Telangna,’ he said.

The anguish of TRS is that it no longer can hold the people with the sentiment and safeguard its position of being the sole custodian of Telangana. When new players enter the field, it is natural for them to react but YSRC undertook Chenetha Deeksha with a social motive while TRS has reacted with a political counter which goes against the interests of weaker sections.

Taking on the TRS President KChandrasekhar Rao head on, he said: “Did KCR ever undertake any dharna for the welfare of marginalized sections of the society. He has been using TRS to further his other interests but was never keen to solve the issue,” he said.

YSRC need not spell out its stand to TRS on any issue, we are answerable to people and will be with the people always highlighting their problems and bringing the State Government to task, unlike TRS which has proved itself as a wily bargainer,” he said.
