*Lokesh must answer DSC irregularities, not issue personal challenges: Vangaveeti Narendra*

Tadepalli, Sept. 22: YSRCP spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra asked Education Minister Nara Lokesh to stop issuing personal challenges to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and answer the serious questions raised by unemployed youth over the alleged DSC irregularities.

Speaking at the YSRCP central office, Narendra said party leaders were ready for an open debate with Lokesh at any place and time. Former Minister Perni Nani and several other leaders had already publicly accepted Lokesh’s challenge, but the Minister was now stepping back, he said.

Narendra said doubts had surfaced at every stage of the recruitment process—from the alleged question-paper leak and merit list to the sports quota and call letters. If the process was transparent, Lokesh should agree to a CBI inquiry instead of avoiding answers, he said.

He condemned the attack on YSRCP leaders who had gone peacefully to the SAAP office to submit a representation on behalf of affected aspirants. He demanded an impartial examination of all available evidence to establish who carried out the attack.

“YSRCP is ready with evidence for an open debate. However, Lokesh does not have the stature to debate with Jagan. He should stop targeting Jagan personally and answer the allegations concerning DSC,” Narendra said.

He asserted that cases, arrests and threats under “Red Book politics” would not frighten YSRCP. Narendra demanded Lokesh’s resignation on moral grounds and a comprehensive CBI investigation to identify who suffered injustice, where irregularities occurred and who benefited from them.
