Cong. TDP distorting facts - May11,2012

YSR Congress on Thursday took strong objection to the way in which the ruling Congress and main opposition TDP were trying to camouflage the assembly records showing the remarks of YSR during his term as chief minister in poor light.

“Drawing parallel between the Margadarsi and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case is  totally beyond reasonable comprehension and the way things are being projected through slides is not in good taste,” party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar told reporters here.

What YSR questioned was the way in which funds were collected by Margadarsi, registered under HUF, and has channelled the public funds to other business interests while what is being projected now is totally objectionable material which is far from truth, he said.

When Rs 2,600 crores collected under HUF was diverted to Ushodaya group, YSR said the matter should be probed in to and when some of the people who described it as an assault on freedom of press even at Delhi level were not to be seen anywhere.

The Supreme Court has clearly told Romoji Rao’s Counsel that Ramoji Rao as an individual is different from Ramoji Rao as an owner of a media house.

When Margadarsi case unfolded, YSR did not stop advertisements to Eenadu nor did he issue a GO to trouble the newspaper but allowed the law to run its own case.

Contrast to what happened then, the State government has issued the black GO to ban advertisements to Sakshi media house as there was a case pending against the organization. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not react to any of the statements but only voiced his concern when the accounts were frozen, he said.

A government inquiry was ordered into the Margadarsi case while a CBI inquiry is on in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case.

While questions are being raised that why YSR did not raise his voice when there was a case against Ramoji Rao, Jupudi said, and YS Jagan araised his voice only after everyone was convinced that there was an assault on freedom of press beginning the freezing of bank accounts of Sakshi group and the black GO stalling advertisements.

After getting the feedback from surveys that people are against them and their defeat is certain in the June 12 by-polls, both Congress and TDP have been methodically resorting to unfair tactics to unleash a bundle of lies incessantly, but the results will be on expected lines and YSRC will win all the 18 assembly and Nellore Lok Sabha seat with a thumping majority, he said.
