Ambati slams
Cong. double standards
Guntur,
September 8: Speaking to media here on Saturday Ambati Rambabu YSR
Congress Party spokesman said neither he nor any of the close circle of YSR had
an idea of the existence of any diary which was suddenly released amidst much
fanfare.
“I
had very closely followed YSR during his 1600 km padayatra and never did I nor
any one in the close circles of YSR did hear that that he was writing a diary.
The talk did not come up while he was in Leader of Opposition nor did it come
up when he was chief Minister for five years and three months.”
Suddenly
the diary comes up as if from nowhere and the who-is-who of Congress attend the
book release function and heap praises on YSR and describes him as a model
Congress chief minister. Ironically, the very same senior leaders were mum and
did not open their mouth when YSR was named in the charge-sheet by CBI.
This
exposes the raw opportunism of Congress.
“All
this shows that Congress wants to own YSR and his policies and at the same time
distance itself from the 26 GOs and show YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in bad light.
This is simply not possible and people gave their verdict earlier and such
theatrics of diaries and senior leaders trying to own YSR up will not cut any
ice,” he said.
