Hyderabad, Nov 9, 2012:
The Central Governing Council (CGC) of the YSR Congress Party is scheduled to
meet here today to discuss the Nilam cyclone and the resultant floods in the
state.
The meeting, which will
take place at Lotus Ponds, will be presided over by the party honourary
president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma. CGC members, party MLAs, MLCs and senior
leaders will also attend the meeting.
The meeting will
discuss the property and crop losses in the wake of the floods besides debating
the ways and means of putting pressure on the Government to announce an
immediate flood relief to the affected people.
Vijayamma has just
concluded a 3-day tour of the flood affected areas in the state and demanded
the Government to announce financial relief to flood victims immediately
without waiting for central teams and their reports.
