Suryapet, Oct 3, 2012: Nalgonda district
convener of the YSR Congress, B. Somi Reddy said the sole aim of the party is
to protect the interests of the poor and oppressed.
Launching the ‘YSR Congress at
door-to-door’ programme in Suryapet on Tuesday, he said the late chief Minister
YSR worked with the sole aim of protecting the interests of the poor people and
his son and party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy came forward to continue the
welfare programmes.
Somi Reddy said the Congress Government
has unfortunately diluted all welfare programmes launched by the late YSR and
Jagan only can take the mantle forward.
Slamming the local MLA for not trying to
solve the problems of the constituency, he said the future belonged to YSRCP.
Earlier, Somi Reddy participated in the
rally of party activists in the town. Local leaders of Congress and TDP joined
the YSR Congress party before the rally. Party youth wing leader Chamala Kirankumar
Reddy also participated in the programme.
