YSRCP demands suspension of Ganta, Narayana

Hyderabad: Demanding the sacking of two ministers from the Cabinet for the growing number of suicides in private educational institutions, YSR Congress has said that Rs 25 lakhs compensation should be paid to families of the students who committed suicides. The setting up of committees would yield no results as was seen from the previous incidents where the proceedings went on as a mere formality like eyewash.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Party MLA RK Roja said, Chandrababu Naidu giving the impression that he has taken stock of the situation is ridiculous as he had invited the perpetrators of the crime to the meeting which shows that he continues to shield the culprits and those responsible for the suicides.
The education minister Ganta Srinivas telling that 158 hostels were being run by the corporate colleges without permission shows the negligence of the state and he should be sacked immediately along with municipal administration minister Narayana, who owns the chain of colleges which has witnessed the maximum number of suicides,’
Chandrababu Naidu appointing committees has proved that it is only eyewash as in the cases of stampede during Godavari Pushkarams, the incident involving Tehsildar Vanjakshi and MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar and the death of Ritikeshwari have yielded nothing.
After the student wing of our Party had given a bandh call, Chandrababu Naidu has called for a meeting on the issue and invited the two accused as well which establishes beyond doubt that they are being shielded. The committee should be formed with parents, leaders of student wing of various parties and organizations as members to give completeness to it, she said.
Chandarbabu Naidu should tell what action was taken against the erring colleges and managements. We demand that cases should be registered against the colleges and managements, clean up the mess created by the private colleges and implement Chakrapani Committee recommendations, she said.
