YSRCP condemns price hike of non-subsidized LPG
01 Jan 2014 4:33 PM
Hyderabad, Jan 1,
2014: YSRCP on Wednesday strongly condemned the steep hike of non-subsidy LPG cylinder
price and demanded the Centre to withdraw the hike immediately as it would pose
an unbearable burden on the people.
People can’t afford the
hike of Rs 215 and the hike must be immediately withdrawn, or else, the state
Government should bear the hike, YSRCP senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu
told reporters here.
He said while YSR Government had
absorbed the burden of LPG cylinder price hike and ensured that people were not
burdened, neither Rosaiah-led Government nor Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Government
came forward to bear the hiked price.
LPG Cylinder price went up by Rs.877
during the regime of Kiran Kumar Reddy, he said and asked: “Prices of all essential
commodities are also going up. How can the people live with the hiked LPG price?”
