YSRCP to block national highways on 6, 7

Hyderabad, Nov 5,
2013: YSR Congress Party on Tuesday appealed to the people to make successful
the highway blockade programme on Nov 6 and 7 for which the party had given a
call as a protest against the Centre’s decision to go ahead with the process of
bifurcation.

“I appeal to people
to participate in the highway blockade programme to the maximum extent possible
in their areas and make it successful to oppose the Centre’s arbitrary
decision,” YSRCLP deputy leader Sobha Nagi Reddy told reporters here.

Sobha Nagi Reddy accused CM Kiran
Kumar Reddy of wearing the mask of an integrationist but  implementing the Congress
President Sonia Gandhi’s agenda over division and cheating people. Kiran failed
to take even a single step to prevent the bifurcation and keep the state
united, she charged.

“If Kiran is really a protagonist of
the unified state, he could have convened the assembly session for adopting a
resolution in favour of keeping the state united, “she said, adding that Kiran
failed to respond on YSRCP's demand for conducting a special assembly session for
the purpose.

Taking a dig at TDP chief Chandrababu
Naidu for not trying to meet the President, Sobha said there is no meaning in
Naidu taking up his second phase of the so called self-respect Yatra.

“Why can’t you meet the President and
express your stand clearly when he was here?” he asked Naidu and observed: “When
he can’t express his stand clearly on the issue, what is the use of taking up
the Yatra,” she fumed.

She said Sonia is out to implement
her division plans with the active and covert cooperation of both Kiran and
Naidu.

9638 village Sarpanches have so far
sent to the GoM  and the PMO the Samaikyandhra
resolutions adopted at their panchayats, she disclosed.
