YSR Congress seeks just solution to T issue
28 Dec 2012 2:02 PM

Hyderabad, Dec 28, 2012: YSR
Congress party has requested the Centre to take an early decision on Telangana acceptable
to all concerned without injustice to any one acting like a father.
The YSR Congress party
released the letter submitted to the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde at
Friday’s all party meeting in Delhi by its leaders Dr. M. V. Mysura Redy and KK
Mahender Reddy.
Saying that YSR Congress
fully respects the sentiments of the Telangana people as stated at its 2-day plenary on July 8 and 9, 2011, the letter has pointed out that under
the Article 3 of the Constitution, the Centre was fully empowered to take a
decision on keeping the states intact or reconstitute them without giving scope
to involvement of the political parties and state Governments.
The letter said that because
of the imprudent actions of the Centre, the state has already turned into a
battle ground on the issue of Telangana and development in the state has taken
a back seat.
Observing that unless the Central Government makes its stand clear on the
issue of Telangana, the letter said, there is no way this can be resolved even
if all the political parties in the state come up with their stand.
“Already,
the state has turned into a battle ground while development has taken a back
seat because of the Central Government’s imprudent actions,” the party said in
its letter adding that the Centre should find an early solution without injustice
to any one taking into consideration all aspects and problems like a father.
