Vijayawada: Opposition leader in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised justice to Agri Gold victims. YS Jagan along with other party leaders visited the Agri Gold victim’s hunger strike camp in Vijayawada on Thursday to extend solidarity to their struggle.
Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said that YSRCP government immediately after coming to power will settled the issue within in week and promised to pay Rs.10 lakhs compensation to the suicide victim families. YS Jagan, who has suggested to government in the Assembly to pay Rs.1180 crores to the victims from the exchequer and recover the same by auctioning the Agric Gold properties, wondered why the government not coming forward to do this much to the victims.
This will give relief to more than 13 lakh people; he said and added the government is not in a mood to do justice to the victims. He also took a dig at the chief Minister and the Speaker for improper conduct of the House during discussion on Agri Gold issue.
The Opposition leader said that the government is paying Rs. 5 lakhs to every suicide victims under Chandranna Bheema why the government discriminating the Agri Gold victims from this scheme he quipped.
