TDP rigging tenders
16 Feb 2016 4:48 PM

Hyderabad, Feb 16: YSR Congress has demanded the TDP government to place on public domain the methodology involved in arriving at the price for developing land in the capital area and why only two of old guards have sent tenders for the work.
‘TDP has been treating the capital building exercise as a commercial enterprise for its coterie and diverting public money into the cartels of its favoured few,’ party senior leader Botsa Satyanaryana told reporters here on Tuesday.
The state has inflated the estimate for developing one square foot to Rs 3,350 which is on the higher side by 18 % as the earlier estimate was Rs 2,000 and the difference is going as kickbacks. How can only two companies, which were associated with TDP for a long time bid for the tenders which were inflated at public cost is question which the State has to answer, he said.
‘We demand that the details of the tender process and the break-up at arriving the to cost estimate for developing the area per square foot should be placed on public domain and show transparency in governance,’ he said.
The manipulation and fund utilsation of the TDP government has been understood by the Centre which has only released 10 % of the actual amount sought for flood relief. While Chandrababu Naidu had asked for Rs 2,000 crores only Rs 280 cores were released which shows the image of the Chief Minister and his government has in the eyes of the NDA coalition.
Other states were generously given funds which makes it clear that TDP has fell from the NDA grace, he added.
