TDP leaders tried to stop YSRCP MLA's speech

The launch of Yuvanestham scheme turned out to be a laughing stock in Kavali in the district here today. When the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders tried to stop YSR Congress party (YSRCP) MLA Pratap Kumar Reddy's speech, tension prevailed as the YSRCP and the TDP workers got involved in a verbal war. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA questioned the TDP's motive behind promising Rs 2,000 towards the unemployment allowance and now giving just Rs 1,000.
Pratap Kumar Reddy asked where the jobs Chandrababu promised during the 2014 elections were. Commotion broke out as the leaders of both the parties quarrelled. The police intervened and eased the situation.
After the meeting, the MLA said that the ruling party leaders were trying to disturb his speech because he was recalling Chandrababu's promises. He added that the TDP leaders were threatening people's representatives by bringing goons to official programs.
