Sheer Resolution Is Not Enough

- Bifurcation law-related promises are rights of the state’s people
- Mere resolution is not sufficient
- Chandrababu should work with commitment for the promises
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA Visweswar Reddy remarked that mere resolution would not be sufficient regarding AP’s special status and bifurcation law-related promises. He opined that the people of the state were not wishing for special status, but were considering the promises made in the parliament at the time of bifurcation as their right. He cautioned the Government that it was not something granted to them by it as alms. Visweswar Reddy stated that the resolution should have been done according to the people’s feelings. He condemned Chandrababu’s not announcing that he was ready for anything if the central Government had not fulfilled the made promises soon.
YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy commented that Chandrababu should not stop with just passing resolution on the special status. He demanded that Chandrababu brought special status, Polavaram funds, capital city funds and all the rights deserved by the state. Kotamreddy suggested that Babu worked with commitment for the benefit of the state and not for his own political benefits, failing which he cautioned that YSRCP would fight against the Government.
