Sharmila seeks Jagan's blessings

Hyderabad, Dec 18,
2012: Ahead of a keyhole operation to her injured leg, Smt. Sharmila visited
Chanchalguda jail and took the blessings of her brother and YSR Congress
president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday.
Smt. Sharmila, who
injured her right leg and sustained a ligament tear last week in LB Nagar constituency
of Ranga Reddy district, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad on
Monday.
She was to have
undergone the surgery this morning but she expressed a wish to visit her
brother and seek his blessings before the operation. Family members then took
her to the jail where she met Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy. The surgery is now scheduled
to take place this evening in the Apollo Hospital.
Smt. Sharmila sustained
the injury after she slipped while boarding a bus during her Maro Praja
Prasthanam Padayatra on Friday. The injury aggravated as she continued with the
walkathon resulting in the suspension of the Padayatra since Saturday.
Doctors, who examined
her and conducted an MRI scan on her injury, suggested she needed a keyhole
surgery to become normal before resuming her Padayatra. “She should rest at
least for three weeks after the surgery,” Dr. Somasekhara Reddy said.
