Sharmila interacts with the blind

Bingidoddi
(Mahabubnagar district), Nov 26, 2012: Several blind persons met Sharmila today
in the Rachchabanda programme at Bingidoddi during the course of her Maro Praja
Prasthanam Padayatra and complained they were not getting monthly pensions.
A blind student by name
Padma, who was doing her second year Intermediate course, told Sharmila she
used to get a monthly pension of Rs.500 during the YSR regime but she has not
been getting any pension for the last three years.
“I am unable to pursue
my studies due to financial problems and I am looking for help to carry on my education,’
she told Sharmila.
The villagers, who also
participated in the Rachchbanda, complained to Sharmila about the lack of
minimum facilities such as roads and drinking water facility in their village.
