Tadepalli, Sep 23: YSRCP BC Cell State President and MLC Ramesh Yadav said the party would not be intimidated by criminal cases or rowdy sheets and would continue its fight over Mega DSC-2025 until a CBI investigation establishes the facts and justice is delivered to unemployed aspirants.
Speaking at the YSRCP central office, Ramesh Yadav demanded that the government order a CBI probe if it was confident that no irregularities had taken place in DSC-2025. He said YSRCP would withdraw its agitation the moment an independent CBI investigation was ordered. The demand follows the September 21 protest at the SAAP office in Vijayawada, where police used barricades and a lathi-charge as YSRCP leaders and activists sought a CBI probe into Sports Quota recruitment.
Ramesh Yadav said five FIRs were registered against YSRCP leaders following the SAAP protest and charged that the government was reviving old cases ahead of the forthcoming local body elections. He said rowdy sheets were being opened against around 51 YSRCP leaders, including MLC Talasila Raghuram and Devineni Avinash, with police action being coordinated across nine police stations and four ACP jurisdictions in Vijayawada.
He said cases were being used to suppress opposition leaders instead of addressing the questions surrounding DSC recruitment. Ramesh Yadav maintained that attacks, arrests and rowdy sheets would not weaken the campaign and said YSRCP would continue until the DSC-2025 irregularities were independently investigated.
He further said a comprehensive report on the DSC controversy would be submitted to the Governor by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
