Second day too goes down the drain!

For
the second day today, Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the assembly till
Thursday without transacting any business. With this, two valuable days of the
5-day monsoon session have been wasted by the honorable members of the
assembly.

When
the assembly began its session, TRS members rose from their seats and demanded
the Government to introduce a resolution on Telangana formation.

Even
as Speaker allowed a limited discussion on the Telangana issue and Lok Satta
Chief Jaya Prakash Narayana rose to speak, the TRS members resorted to
sloganeering and shouting. TRS members Harish Rao objected to the remarks of
Jaya Prakash Narayana who said the Centre failed to take a decision even after
20 months after the submission of report by the Justice Sri Krishna Committee.

On
the other hand, ministers Mukesh Goud and Danam Nagender started arguing with
Nagam Janardhan Reddy.

All
the while, TRS members kept raising slogans for the introduction of Telangana
resolution in the house. With all the members speaking and involving themselves
in war of words, the Speaker adjourned the house for half an hour.

Again,
when it has reassembled, similar noisy scenes prevailed in the house forcing
Speaker Nadendla Manohar to adjourn the house till Thursday.

Earlier,
representatives of various parties attended a Business Advisory Committee
meeting to discuss the issues to be taken up in the House but failed to come to
an understanding. In the meeting, TRS members continued with their demand for a
resolution on Telangana formation for which other parties didn’t agree.
