Sea of humanity descends on Idupulapaya

Idupulapaya, Oct 18,
2012: The scene that unfolded during the flagging off the Maro Praja Prasthanam
at the YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya in YSR district on Thursday is unprecedented, unique,
mind boggling and impeccable.
The sea of humanity which
descended on the tiny village is the embodiment of love and affection people have
been showering on the family members of YSR for years together.
The tail end
participants of the Padayatra, extending up to more than 13 km and into the
hilly terrains of Idupulapaya, moved at a snail’s pace even as the lead
participants of the Yatra Sharmila and other leaders reached the Veeranna Gattu Palle, the first destination of the Yatra
that began at YSR Ghat.
People in
hundreds of thousands came voluntarily and wished Sharmila through cheers and
pro-Jagan slogans. Step in step, the multitudes followed Sharmila from Idupula
Paya to Veeranna Gattu Palle to Vempalle where she would rest for the night
after addressing a huge public meeting.
