Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh budget presented recently disappoint all sections of the people especially women of the state, YSRCP MLA Roja said.
Speaking at a press conference, here on Saturday, she said, women have been treated unfairly in the budget. "There are no special provisions or welfare schemes for women in the last budget of the TDP government," she said. Stating that women in the state have no security, she said instances of women trafficking is on the rise. She recalled the incident of MRO Vanajakshi where no arrests were made till date. Also, when a woman was assaulted in the CM's constituency, no action was taken against the culprits, Roja said.
Chief minister Chandrababu promised phase-wise removal of belt shops as demanded by the women, Roja said and added that till date all the belt shops are continuing without any action by the state government.
