Rajanna Rajyam will bring real Ugadi
12 Apr 2013 5:28 PM

Nuziveedu (Krishna Dt),
April 12, 2013: Smt. Y.S. Sharmila said people of the state would celebrate
real Ugadi festival only in the Rajanna Rajyam.
“Ugadi has come but
where is the happiness among the people? There is neither power supply to the
villages nor water for drinking or irrigating their agricultural lands. Real
Ugadi will come only when Rajanna Rajyam returns,” she said addressing a huge
public meeting at Gollapally in Nuziveedu constituency of Krishna District on
Thursday.
While the parents are
unable to pay the huge power bills without getting power, students are unable
to continue their education with the fee reimbursement scheme getting diluted,
she said, adding, people couldn’t celebrate the Ugadi festival as prices of all
essential commodities had skyrocketed.
Farmers should get
reasonable Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their agricultural produce and this
not possible in the present Congress regime. “In Rajanna Rajyam only, farmers
will be able to get MSP for their produce,” Smt. Sharmila said. “Real festive
atmosphere will prevail in all villages and hamlets then.”
The day is not far off
when the YSRCP will come to power under the leadership of its president Sri
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the people will witness the Rajanna Rajyam, she
said.
Smt. Sharmila had also
participated in a Rachchabanda Programme at Marribandham in the constituency
during the course of her 13.5 km Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on Ugadi. She
has so far completed walking a distance of 1586.7 km at the end of 117th
day on Thursday.
