Padayatra to begin from Idupulapaya

The
second Praja Prasthanam would begin on October 18 from Idupulapaya with YSR
family members carrying on the legacy of mass contact programme which will
highlight the failure of State Government and its nexus with TDP targeting YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“The
Padayatra will begin at Idupulapaya on October 18 and conclude at Srikakulam.
Sharmila will carry out the programme and will be joined with other family
members and when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy comes out, he will take over from us,”
YSRCP Honorary President, YS Vijayamma told reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The
Padayatra covering all the three regions of the State will be on the lines that
YSR has toed during his Praja Prasthanam which turned a new leaf in the polity
of the State, she said after the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting
which has prepared the roadmap and was approved by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, she
said.

The
lack of governance and the anarchy prevailing in the State, with all the YSR
welfare schemes being dumped or distorted, and the indifferent attitude of the
Government towards all major issues affecting farmers, workers, students,
women, minorities and other sections of the society on one hand and the nexus
of main opposition TDP which is on “Save Congress “mode are the focal points of
the Padayatra, she said.

TDP
leaders meeting Finance Minister P Chidambaram, hours before ED, working under
his Ministry, issuing attachment notice has exposed that the two Parties are
working in tandem targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The event taking place on the
eve of the Supreme Court verdict on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy bail petition shows
the conspiracy angle in full glare of the public. It is not a coincidence as
this has been a pattern with Congress, TDP and vested interests pulling up
something big whenever the judicial proceedings of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reach a
crucial juncture.

The
motive seems to be very clear. The Congress and TDP want to share power in
turns and will not allow any third force to grow. They were proved wrong on
many occasions, but they are bent on their theory and are persistent, unmindful
of the public opinion, YS Vijayamma, who shared the dais with Koathala
Ramakrishna and Bajireddy Govardhan, said.

In
course of the Padayatra, will create a public opinion forcing the main
opposition TDP to move a no-confidence motion against the State Government
which hardly governs nor cares for the common man and has been taxing
indiscriminately and going to the extent of collecting power dues in
retrospective effect and TDP remains silent, instead of taking the issue
head-on, she said adding that watering down of fees reimbursement scheme, poor
power supply to farmers and as to why TDP is not playing its role as the
Opposition Party are the questions we should be raising during the Padayatra.

We
have been fighting on public issues ever since the Party has come into being
and will continue to do so. Our programme will aim at raising public opinion
against the insensitive State Government and equally numb and compromising
Opposition TDP and force a no-confidence motion at the earliest.

The
Padayatra will be a continuation of the various agitations led by YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy against the Congress for watering down YSR schemes and taking
anti-people decisions, she said.
