Mahanadu fails to take up people’s issues

Hyderabad, May 29: YSR Congress has said that TDP has been in celebration mood at Mahanadu when farmers of the state are in distress and the top leadership should volunteer for a CBI inquiry into the corruption charges and come out with a clean slate.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, party spokesperson K Parthasarathi said, ‘ while farmers are facing serious problems as they are unable to get Minimum Support Price (MSP) and drought conditions are prevailing in almost all the district of the state, TDP has gone into a mood of celebrations and is blowing its own trumpet.

‘It is unfortunate that not a single member of the NTR family has shared the dais during the Mahanadu which coincides with the birthday of the founder leader of the Party who was ousted by Chandrababu Naidu.

The Mahanadu has not discussed any issue of public importance and people who have protested against YSR for his priority to irrigation are now speaking in a different voice, he said.

It sounds ridiculous on part of Lokesh to say that his grandfather (NTR) was Chief Minister when he was born and when his son was born Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Minister.

It has become a habit for TDP to criticize YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and blame him for stalling development which is only an alibi to cover up the failure of the government, he said.

The state has seen more development during the YSR period and TDP is no match to the vision of the departed whose ideals are imbibed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
