Adibhatla (Ranga Reddy
Dt.) Dec 13, 2012: Lashing out at TDP president Chandrababu Naidu for
protecting the anti-people Kiran Kumar Reddy Government, Smt. Sharmila on
Thursday reassured people that YSR Congress chief Sri. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy
would do more for people than what he promised akin to Dr. YSR when he becomes
the Chief Minister.
“Dr. YSR kept all his
promises and also implemented welfare schemes which were not part of his
promises. Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy will also keep all his promises and do many more
things keeping in view the public
welfare,’ she told a huge public meeting at Adibhatla in Ibrahimpatnam Mandalam
of Ranga Reddy district during the course of her Padayatra.
She said that YSR
sanctioned pensions to 71 lakh persons during his regime while only 16 lakh
persons benefited under the pension scheme during the TDP regime. Reiterating
that all handicapped persons would get Rs.1000 and widows and the aged Rs.700
as monthly pension when Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy becomes the CM, she said the
present government has failed to implement the pension scheme properly.
“People are not getting
even the Rs.200 monthly pension regularly,” she told people, adding that TDP
president Chandrababu Naidu has been supporting the anti-people policies of the
Government for personal gains.
Smt. Sharmila asserted that
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was jailed as a result of the conspiracy between
Congress and TDP, will soon come out from jail and move towards establishing
the Rajanna Rajyam.
