*YSRCP flays coalition on spreading falsehood*

Hyderabad, Sept 29: YSRCP has lashed out against the coalition government for trying to rake up issues that were nearly closed and targeting the Opposition whenever elections are nearing.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Party General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said, Chandrababu and his people are resorting to character assassination and uncalled-for remarks targeting the Opposition leadership as he is unable to confront YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The issue of Vivekananda Reddy’s killing is time and again raked up before elections though the assailants have admitted their role in the murder and CBI has completed its investigation. Courts are being moved for stay orders only to keep the issue still hanging though it has reached its logical conclusion.

The ruling party has stooped to new levels and is passing uncalled-for remarks on women as well in the controversy. The coalition just wants to eke out political mileage out of the issue but has no intention to close the case, he said.

Instead of levelling false allegations, the government should come out with facts and provide security to anyone whom it deems fit but cannot link other deaths to that of Vivekananda Reddy. The government must put the details in the public domain to clear the air.

The moves of the government evidently establish the fact that it is resorting to such cheap gimmicks as it cannot face YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Avinash Reddy. It is very inappropriate to pass personal remarks against YS Bharathi, who is always serving the poor, he said.
