May 5,2013: YSRC
President Sri Jagan is for empowering women by giving them Education, power and
security said Smt Vijayamma, the honourary president of the party.
Addressing a
gathering of women as part of Mahila Nagaara at Bapatla in Guntur district, Smt
Vijayamma said Sri Jagan is for restricting the liquor sale and removing the
belt shops with the help and cooperation of women. “This is Jagan’s vision” she
said.
Women groups
would be formed across the state to check and restrict the sale of liquor apart
from removing the belt shops Smt Vijayamma announced.
Smt
Vijayamma said that the atrocities on
the women were on the rise as there was no law and order apart from no
restriction on liquor sale.
While the
YSR regime got just Rs 5000 crore from excise, now it is more than Rs 20000
crore she stated. It is very unfortunate that the CMs office earlier has ordered
for rise in liquor sale she condemned.
She said
that women are strong and they are no less than others in any way. She
suggested that the men should see the mother, sister and a daughter in women.
While
Mahatma Gandhi the father of nation wanted women to go out free during
midnight, Botsa Satyanarayana the PCC chief said women must not go out in the
night as they like she reminded.
The 50
percent reservation for women in politics is yet to come she reminded.
She praised
the efforts of Veeresalingam Pantulu, Rajarammohan Roy and Ambedkar who have
strived for the welfare and protection of women in several ways.
YSRC is
always with the women for their self reliance and also protection she assured.
The women must forge ahead with all confidence she said. //
