Kurnool: It is time for chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to resign and go home for his inability to fulfill any of his electoral promises, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
Addressing a massive public meeting here on Thursday, YS Jagan said that every promise made by the chief minister at the time of election remains unfulfilled to this day. "Faith and trust in democratic values will be restored among the people only if a leader resigns for his failure to live up to the aspirations of the public," he said. Listing out the failures of the TDP rule in the past four years, he said every section of the society has been deceived by Chandrababu. They include students, farmers, senior citizens, women, teachers and workers, he added.
"During the YS Rajasekhara Reddy regime, 32 lakh acres were distributed to the poor sections of the society. However, during the TDP regime it is the policy of land-grabbing by the authorities in the name of capital city and other constructions. Rations shops are almost defunct while health services worsened in the past four years," YS Jagan said.
Thanking the people for the huge turnout in Veldurthi, he urged them to be patient for one more year as the YSRCP government will address their grievances on priority.
