Good days are ahead: Sharmila
22 Oct 2012 1:25 PM

Pulivendula, Oct 22,
2012: On the fourth day of her
Padayatra, Sharmila had interacted with women who carried bottles of
contaminated drinking water.
As soon as she began
her Padayatra from Pulivendula on Sunday, women showed up with the bottles and
complained to Sharmila that they have been getting polluted drinking water for
the last two and half years and no official cared despite their complaints.
“Send the bottles to CM
Kiran Kumra Reddy and the Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu and ask them to
drink,” she told the women who met her. “They
don’t even wash their hands with such water.
Next, she had
encountered students who complained about lack of power supply. “We don’t get
power even three hours daily and we are facing problems to carry on out
studies,” they told Sharmila prompting her to ask, “Is there Government at all?”
Sharmila said the
Government is in deep slumber. Kiran Kumar didn’t wake up to buy power from
other states when it was available and now power is not available for him even
if he wants to buy.
Some aged persons also
met Sharmila and narrated their problems to her. “We are aged and we are unable
to lead our lives,” they told her.
Sharmila reacted saying
that good days are ahead and YSRCP would take care of them when it came to
power. “God is there and God will bring Jagan out of jail one day. Don’t be
worried as you have good days ahead,” she consoled them.
