Don’t politicize BC seat allocation: Vijayamma
22 Aug 2012 4:55 AM

Hyderabad: YSR Congress party honourary president Smt. YS Vijayamma today appealed to other political parties in the state not to politicize the seat allotment issue for the BCs.
Speaking to newsmen at her Lotus Pond residence here after meeting a delegation of BC leaders led by BC Organization president Mr.R.Krishnaiah, Vijayamma said her party’s announcement on seat allocation for the BCs was not a new one.
“Jagan announced as far back as last year that YSRCP would send 100 BC representatives to the assembly,” she said asking other political parties not to attribute politics to the issue.
The delegation of BC leaders felicitated her for announcing that 100 BC members would be given seats by her party in the next assembly elections.
“The announcement by Vijayamma that 100 seats would be given to BCs is historic and it made the BCs in the state very happy,” said Krishnaiah, adding that BCs were accorded proper representation even during the YSR regime.
