Vijayawada: Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers were detained by police upon rallying for justice. The ‘Chalo Vijayawada Rally’ initiated by 300 ASHA workers at the early hours of Friday from Tummalapalli Kalakshetram for the solution of their problems was hindered by the police personnel. The police then went on to detain them at a function hall in Kottapet police station area. Being collectively restrained in the same place the ASHA workers started protesting.
