*Redbook rule is crushing Gandhian values in AP*

Tadepalli, Oct 2: YSR Congress Party leaders said the coalition government has pushed Andhra Pradesh into a regime of violence, repression and collapsing democratic values, betraying the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
At the YSRCP Central Office, leaders including Kurasala Kannababu, Velampalli Srinivas, Malladi Vishnu and Lella Appireddy paid floral tributes to Gandhi and Shastri on their birth anniversaries. They said Gandhi secured freedom through non-violence, while the coalition government is enforcing a “Red Book Constitution” to suppress every questioning voice. Farmers, employees, students and women are being subjected to lathi-charges and intimidation for raising their concerns.
The leaders said Gandhi’s vision of Gram Swaraj and schemes bearing his name are being neglected. Recalling Shastri’s resignation on moral grounds after a railway accident, they said Education Minister Nara Lokesh continues in office despite DSC-2025 paper leakages, recruitment irregularities, fake certificates and money changing hands.
They said YS Rajasekhara Reddy gave practical meaning to “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” through free power and Jalayagnam, while agriculture today has been pushed into distress. They said YS Jagan Mohan Reddy continues to stand with the people as the voice of the voiceless and that YSRCP will defend democratic rights and uphold the ideals of Gandhi and Shastri.
