Constitution At Stake Due To Babu

Hyderabad: YSRCP SC cell's state president, Meruga Nagarjuna, commented that AP Government was slaughtering the Constitution of India. Constitution Day was held on the 26th of November at the party's central office in Hyderabad. YSRCP leaders Botsa Satyanarayana, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Meruga Nagarjuna and others decorated the portrait of Dr. BR Ambedkar with flower garlands and paid homage to him.

Speaking on this occasion, Meruga Nagarjuna reminded how the need for a constitution had been realised after the country had gotten independence. He mentioned how Dr. BR Ambedkar had framed the constitution in such a way that nobody in India would be discriminated as per their caste or creed or region in order to save the nation from internal disparities, He slammed the political parties that were slaughtering the constitutional values in the present day.

Primarily, Meruga condemned the way Chandrababu had been oppressing the values through his practices in AP. He slammed the way the leaders winning democratically from other parties were being snatched by the urling party by luring them with money and other benefits and how no action was being taken against them. Mentioning how special funds were being sanctioned to the ruling party leaders while the leaders who had been democratically elected by the people were being shown an empty hand. 

Reminding CM Chandrababu's statement that nobody would want to be born in Dalit community, he called it an intolerable act and discriminating to the downtrodden castes.

Meruga specified that Chandrababu was oppressing the rights of Dalits, whose benefit was the in the interest of Dr. Ambedkar. Calling for protection of the values prescribed by the constitution, he reminded how Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy had valued the constitution during his rule and also acclaimed YS Jagan for respecting the constitution in all his actions.

Constitution Day was celebrated in YSRCP's office at Guntur. SC cell district president, Bandaru Sai Baba, held the event. Certain leaders decorated Ambedkar's portrait with flower garlands and paid homage to him. YSRCP youth wing's district president, Diamond Babu, ZPTC Koteswara Rao, Sevadal president Syed Mabu and certain MPTC members participated in the event.
