Cong-TDP tacit tie-up to the fore

Hyderabad, January 24: The
bravado of N Chandrababu Naidu that TDP was born on anti-Congress plank is no
more relevant as the two parties are working for mutual benefit, YSR Congress
has said.

“We have been telling about
the unholy nexus since long, but there are reports that Congress is warming up
TDP for a truce and feels it would be better ally than TRS which vindicates our
stand,” party spokesperson Janak Prasad told reporters here on Thursday.

Flashing the reports published
in two national dailies, he said, the parties are in touch with each other for
mutual gains. TDP will ensure that Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister
in 2014 and in return get all the cases against N Chandrababu Naidu will be
buried deep, he said.

We have seen the tie-up work
in the by-elections in East and West Godavari districts and Parakala and on
many other occasions. TDP MPs abstaining from voting on FDI in retail in Rajya
Sabha was by design and was not accidental as TDP which was born on the
anti-Congress plank cannot afford to be callous on the issue.

“There was a clear
understanding between the two parties. It becomes more evident when no action
was taken against the MPs who did not vote,” he said.

TDP leaders and Naidu
personally met P Chidambaram and other leaders in Delhi with the common agenda
of keeping YS Jagan Mohan Reddy away from the people and share the spoils, but
the people’s verdict has clearly shown the popularity ratings, he said.

In the coming days there
would be more joint ventures between the ruling and main opposition party and
it is better if TDP goes the PRP way, he said.
