Hyderabad, March 10, 2014: Senior Congress leader
and Anantapuram MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy joined YSR Congress Party in the
presence of party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Sunday evening.
After joining the party, he said the state is in
need of such administration as the one given by YSR and Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
only can again extend such regime to the people. “I am sure that only Sri Jagan
Mohan Reddy is capable of providing such a leadership to the people of the
state as given by YSR. I am quite confident that Seemandhra will be developed
under his leadership,” he said.
Earlier, well known business man Koneru Prasad also
joined the YSRCP in the presence of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Prasad met Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy along with party
leaders Vangaveeti Radha, Jaleel
Khan, Samineni Udayabhanu, Jogi Ramesh
and others and took the membership of the party.
Naidu
betrayed Telugu people
Venkatarami Reddy said TDP president Chandrababu
Naidu had betrayed the Telugu people by giving letter in support of
Telangana formation and also asking his party MPs to support the T bill in Parliament.
“The 9-year rule of Chandrababu witnessed anarchy in
the state and especially Anantapuram district suffered heavily,” Venkatrami
Reddy said, adding that Naidu is promising everything free for the people with a
view to come to power. “ But, he has no credibility and people will not believe
him.”
