Hyderabad,
Sept 22, 2012: Speaker Nadendla Manohar rejected all adjournment motions of the
opposition parties on the last day of the 5-day monsoon session of the assembly
today.
YSR
Congress MLAs, who introduced adjournment motions on different issues in the
last four days, served adjournment notice on the issue of seasonal diseases,
scarcity of medicines and tribal problems today.
While
TDP has introduced adjournment motion on drought conditions and scarcity of
fertilizers, TRS and BJP served adjournment notices on Telangana and SC and ST
sub plan respectively.
The
other adjournment notices, served by Left parties and MIM, are related to open
cast mining and appointment of police constables.
Opposition
party MLAs resorted to obstruction of the proceedings by raising slogans and
creating unruly scenes in the Speaker’s podium following the rejection of the
adjournment notices.
The
noisy scenes forced Manohar to adjourn the House by one hour. The House
reassembled at 10.30 am but with TRS members indulging in sloganeering and
demanding Telangana resolution, Speaker adjourned the house for the second time
for an hour.
