Chandrababu Should Own Responsibility For The Chaos

Hyderabad, Nov 22: YSR Congress has demanded that Chandrababu Naidu should own up the responsibility on the chaos arising out of demonetization or pull out from the NDA coalition instead of giving bland statements to appease the people.
‘As TDP continues to be part of the NDA coalition it has to own up responsibility for the chaotic situation in wake of the demonetization and Chandrababu Naidu or his cabinet colleagues have no moral right to speak on the issue unless effective steps are taken to mitigate the suffering of people,’ party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Tuesday.
‘TDP’s criticism of the Centre would cut no ice as it is a partner of the coalition and has to own up responsibility for causing hardship to people unless it takes stern measures and prevails upon the Centre to work out ways to provide relief to the people who are passing through a tough time in wake of the demonetization,’ he said.
Though the Party has given the entire credit of demonetization to Chandrababu Naidu for advising Prime Minister Narendra Modi on pulling out the higher denomination notes, when it backfired and there is a huge public outcry, the state agriculture minister started firefighting exercise and started shifting the blame on the Centre.
There is no point in criticizing the Centre or making insipid statements. As long as TDP continues with the NDA it has to share the blame and not just credit and TDP leaders remarks that the Chief Minister was not consulted would not stand the scrutiny as it was on record that the credit of demonetization was staked by Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
On Heritage Foods shares and the bulk sale ahead of November 8, state agriculture minister trying to defend the move is a mockery as he was speaking as a spokesperson of the Company. ‘How else can anyone justify the meteoric hike of shares of the Company into the past 2.5 years,’ he said.
