CBI working for Cong, TDP: YSRCP

Hyderabad, Nov 21,
2012: YSR Congress Party on Wednesday accused CBI of playing into the hands of
Congress and TDP and adopting delaying tactics to deny bail to its President
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Party spokesman Ambati
Rambabu told media persons here that CBI, instead of filing its counter on the
bail petition of Jagan Mohan Reddy, sought time once again with a view to delay
bail for him. “The stance of CBI is really unfortunate,” he observed.

“CBI should have filed
its counter today but shrewdly sought time once again leading to the
adjournment of the hearing on the bail petition of Jagan Mohan Reddy to Nov
23,” he said, accusing CBI of dancing to the tunes of Congress and TDP.

With a view to keep
Jagan Mohan Reddy in jail for a long time, CBI has been adopting the same
delaying tactics in all courts including the Supreme Court from the very
beginning, Rambabu charged.

“CBI should recognize
the fact it is not above the constitution and stop working as a political
party,” Rambabu said and asked it to work like a professional investigating
agency.

Warning the CBI that
people have been watching its unjustified actions in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case and
will respond suitably at the most appropriate time, Rambabu said that the
country’s premier investigative agency has become a political tool in the hands
of Congress and TDP.

Rambabu said that Jagan
Mohan Reddy will complete six months in jail by Nov 27 and people are at a loss
to understand as to why he has been jailed like a convicted prisoner for so
long a period.
