CBI singing TDP tune: YSRCP

Hyderabad, June 10, 2013: YSR Congress has said
that CBI has been singing the tune of TDP and the memo to separate YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy and Vijaysai Reddy from Chanchalguda jail is irrational on part of
the premier investigation agency.
“Close on the heels of TDP writing a letter to
Union Home Minister on the alleged additional benefits Jagan Mohan Reddy is
receiving at Chanchalguda jail, CBI asking the designated court to keep Vijay
Sai Reddy away is part of a conspiracy,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told
reporters here today.
The move of CBI seems to be politically motivated
as the investigation agency never had filed such memo even in extreme cases, he
said. CBI’s conduct has come under scanner and it had to face the music of
Supreme Court which called the Agency as a caged parrot singing its Master’s
Voice.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was remanded to judicial custody
on the grounds that he would influence the witnesses and now CBI contended that
he along with Vijaysai Reddy will do the same thing from the jail is absurd and
has political overtures to it, he said.
TDP leader Y Ramakrishnudu, who wrote the letter to
Union Home Minister, has some questionable incidents in his public life. While
NTR was dethroned, he played a key role to enable Naidu to usurp the Party, its
symbol and Chief Minister post, he said.
“Our contention that Congress, TDP and CBI are
jointly working to keep YS Jagan Mohan Reddy away from the people is not
unfounded. TDP has been providing script to CBI since long. The same points
which CBI raised were told by TDP leaders at a press conference some ten days
back,” he said.
Ramakrishnudu, who has a long political career,
should know that there is no restriction on the number of persons meeting
someone who is on judicial remand. It depends on the discretion of the jail
authorities, he said.
TDP is scared that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, though in
jail, has been able to win the hearts of the people and steer YSRCP to victory
in the by-elections.
