A Bad Day in the Assembly

Hyderabad: YSRCP senior member Gadikota Srikanth Reddy opined that yesterday was a bad day to happen in the assembly. He commented that the speaker’s behaviour was saddening. With the fear that whip would apply to the 8 defected MLAs, the speaker hastily held voice voting and declared the motion’s dissolution, Srikanth Reddy complained. He spoke to the media along with his fellow MLAs after the session ended yesterday.

No Confidence Motion against the Speaker

Srikanth Reddy stated that they in fact had respect for the position of the speaker, but expressed their displeasure towards the behaviour of the speaker Kodela Siva Prasad was distressing. While the leader of opposition YS Jagan spoke for 1-2 minutes, TDP MLAs spent 30-40 minutes verbally abusing him. Srikanth Reddy added that they had waited in vain for his way to change. So YSRCP leaders decided to introduce No Confidence Motion against the speaker. He commented that CM Chandrababu boasted about himself as the next person to Mahatma Gandhi and Anna Hazare. He mentioned that Babu would not accept proofs and bluffed that development would stop if CBI inquiry happened. Srikanth Reddy concluded that they were passing No Confidence Motion against the speaker in spite of having respect towards his position.

 Government’s Blind Rule

YSRCP member Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy commented that the events happening in the assembly proved that the Government’s was blind rule. He complained that repeated attempts were made to insult opposition leader YS Jagan. He mentioned that they were suspended from the assembly although they were absent on that day. He stated that the Government was blind. He added that voice voting was conducted to save the defected MLAs. He condemned the session’s not happening according to tradition.
