YSRCP slams irregular govt employee transfers

Tadepalli, June 30: YSRCP Employees Wing State President N. Chandrasekhar Reddy has strongly condemned the ongoing employee transfers with widespread irregularities and systemic mismanagement. The transfer process, particularly for village and ward secretariat employees, is marred by egregious violations of established rules, with over 90% of transfers reportedly influenced by undue pressures. Employees are being forcibly relocated to distant areas, far from their home mandals, causing severe disruption and distress. "The government is not governing; it appears the TDP is running the show, undermining the system with arbitrary decisions under the guise of rationalization," Chandrasekhar asserted.
He highlighted that transfers are being executed based on recommendations from MLAs, with employees coerced into securing such letters or paying bribes to secure preferred postings. "Why are MLA recommendation letters being demanded when no such requirement exists in the transfer GOs?" he questioned. This practice has left employees, particularly women, vulnerable to harassment, with counseling sessions conducted at odd hours, adding to their plight. Many employees are struggling to meet the financial demands imposed by MLAs and their associates, plunging them into further hardship.
The government failed to deliver justice to employees, with unfulfilled promises such as timely salary payments, the release of pending dues exceeding Rs. 30,000 crore, and the implementation of PRC and Interim Relief (IR). Chandrasekhar also criticized the government for deceiving the youth with false promises of 400,000 jobs annually and unemployment allowances. "The government has cheated employees and the unemployed alike, with no clarity on when dues will be cleared or jobs provided," he said.
Calling for immediate action, Chandrasekhar demanded the cancellation of all irregular transfers and the initiation of a transparent, well-planned transfer process. He also urged the government to release four pending DAs without delay. "If the government continues to deceive and exploit employees, it will not survive long," he warned, emphasizing the need for accountability and fairness.
