Tadepalli, Aug 26: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the demise of AIDWA leader P. Sumathi, wife of former MP and former CPI(M) State Secretary P. Madhu.
YS Jagan said Sumathi’s contribution to the cause of women’s rights and the welfare of marginalised sections of society would always be remembered. Her commitment to social issues and her work for the people were inspiring, he said.
He also appreciated the family’s decision to donate her body to a government medical college for the education and research of medical students, describing it as an exemplary gesture of service even after death.
YS Jagan prayed for peace to the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to P. Madhu and the bereaved family members.
