YSRCP slams Naidu’s job cuts, broken promises

Tadepalli, July 1: YSRCP Youth Wing President Jakkampudi Raja has sharply criticized the Naidu-led government for its failure to deliver on employment promises and for undermining the livelihoods of thousands across the state. Addressing media at central office here on Tuesday, Raja highlighted the stark contrast between the job creation record of former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the current administration’s dismal performance. “Under YS Jagan’s leadership, 40 lakh jobs were created, empowering people across the state. In contrast, Chandrababu’s regime has not only failed to create a single job but is actively dismantling existing employment opportunities,” Raja declared.
Naidu betrayed public with unfulfilled promises of 20 lakh jobs or Rs. 3,000 monthly stipend, labeling these as hollow assurances that have left the youth disillusioned. Widespread job terminations across sectors, including volunteers, MDU staff, MGNREGA field assistants, Beverage Corporation employees, APMDC workers, and Fibernet personnel, as evidence of the government’s anti-employment stance. “Naidu’s first signature as Chief Minister was meant to symbolize hope through the DSC recruitment promise, but it has proven to be a cruel deception for unemployed youth,” Raja asserted.
Raja recalled how Naidu mocked YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s pledge to provide free electricity to farmers, only for YSR to deliver on that promise immediately upon taking office, transforming lives. “Naidu lacks the vision and integrity to match such leadership. His government stands idly by as atrocities against women and children rise, ignoring the cries of the vulnerable,” Raja charged, referencing the administration’s failure to5 address pressing social issues.
Raja condemned Naidu’s response to YS Jagan’s recent outreach to victims of police brutality, calling the Chief Minister’s remarks “shameful.” Naidu is exploited Godavari Pushkaralu tragedy for publicity, which claimed 29 lives, questioning his moral authority to criticize Jagan. “Naidu should focus on fulfilling his promises instead of resorting to mindless rhetoric,” Raja demanded.
Reflecting on today’s youth wing meeting, Raja emphasized that YS Jagan provided clear direction on multiple issues, galvanizing the cadre to work toward a resounding victory in 2029. “Only under Jagan’s leadership can Andhra Pradesh prosper. Our goal is to restore a government that prioritizes people’s welfare and delivers on its commitments,” he concluded, urging Naidu to act with wisdom and accountability to implement promised reforms.
