Abusive rhetoric angers Vijayamma

Hyderabad, March 15, 2013: Taking objection to the
derogatory remarks made by TDP member Motkupally Narasimhulu repeatedly against
the late Dr. YSR during the debate on no-trust motion on Friday, YSR Congress
party members surrounded the Speaker podium demanding the chair to remove his abusive
comments from the records and seek an instant apology from him.

Despite strong
objections from the YSRCP members, in an effort to divert public attention and
escape criticism over TDP's unwillingness to support the no-trust motion, Motkupally
umpteen times tried to abuse YSR and YSRCP chief Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
making allegations against them and inviting the ire of the party MLAs.

Instead of attacking
the anti-people policies of the Government, the TDP member pointedly chose to
attack YSR and Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy. The unabated personal attack on YSR and
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy angered YSRCP honourary president Smt. Vijayamma.

“Is it justified on
your part to speak ill about YSR who is not in the house? Is it justified for
you to pass judgments on Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy? Which court said that he is a culprit?”
asked Smt. Vijayamma objecting to Motkupally’s remarks.

She also asked TDP to
disclose why Chandrababu Naidu has decided not to support the no-trust motion. “I
never made any personal comments against Chandrababu Naidu. If I wanted to make
personal comments, there are many. Shall I talk about his dark agreements with
Union Minister Chidambaram or his party’s support to the FDI bill?” she
questioned.

Earlier, YSRCLP deputy
leader Sobha Nagi Reddy said they have announced support to the no-confidence
motion introduced by TRS as it was aimed at exposing the failures of the
Government. “We have already said we will support no-confidence motion
introduced by any political party in the interests of the people. Going by our
earlier word, we supported the TRS sponsored motion,” she said explaining the
reasons for supporting the no-confidence motion.
