Eluru: YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to announce the party’s BC Declaration for the development of Backward Classes (BCs'), at the ‘BC Garjana’ meeting in Eluru today
A large gathering of BCs have come in from the 13 districts of the State of Andhra Pradesh and converged at Helapuri City, close to CRR Engineering College in Eluru and named the stadium after the famous reformer social reformer Mahatma Jyothirao Phule.
YS Jagan convened had convened BC study committee to understand the grievances of the members of the community under the stewardship of Janga Krishnamurthy who us also the chairperson of the study committee. The committee has taken the support of more than 160 BC leaders and organisations, studied the community’s current situation, identified their grievances, and submitted a comprehensive report to Jagan. The committee report findings, along with the issues faced by the community which Ys Jagan documented during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, were also incorporated in the BC Declaration.
Apart from the BC declaration ,the YSRCp manifesto schemes for the BC welfare mentioned in the Navaratnalu, the setting up of corporations for all sub-castes within the BC community, representation of BCs in the state assembly, financial aid and other important aspects would be unveiled by YS Jagan as part of the BC Declaration today.
