YS Jagan Sends The Right Message To Officials, Partymen

The contrasting approaches between TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in office of the chief minister are clear to all. Chandrababu Naidu was accused of massive corruption from Day 1—be it the scams surrounding the location of Amaravati as the capital and the contracts related to it, Polavaram and the controversies which blew up around it, among several others.
Telugu Desam ministers earned notoriety for indulging in corrupt deals and land scams. Janmabhoomi Committees turned into village level mafias. If people threw out TDP with a vengeance and entrusted the reigns of power to YSRCP, handing YS Jagan a massive mandate, it is because they trust him with delivering on his promises with integrity. To his credit, the new chief minister has hit the ground running.
At the collector's conference on Monday, he told officials that the conference hall built by Chandrababu Naidu, Praja Vedika, an illegal structure would be demolished immediately after the conference. Thus he sent a clear message on illegal constructions across the state.
The chief minister also made it clear that while the officials should treat MLAs with the respect due to public representatives, they should not entertain any unlawful or irregular request. In stating so Emphatically, YS Jagan made it clear to his own partymen to stay above board.
The AP chief minister also highlighted the fact that it was important to live by example and that other states should emulate Andhra Pradesh.
