Guntur, Feb 14: Ambati Monika, daughter of former minister Ambati Rambabu, strongly countered comments made by Home Minister Anitha in the Legislative Council, asserting that her father has full faith in the judiciary and has never incited anyone to violence. Speaking to the media at her residence in Guntur, she said coalition leaders themselves put up flex banners blaming YSRCP in the Tirumala laddu issue, and when her father condemned those banners, the same forces attempted to attack him and his house. She expressed anger that 36 cases were filed against Rambabu out of political vendetta, while those who carried out attacks were released on station bail and the victim was arrested. She clarified that Rambabu’s recent “taggede le” gesture near the Guntur court was only to boost the morale of party cadres and reflect his confidence in justice, not to provoke anyone.
Questioning the Home Minister, she asked what action was taken when TDP leaders provoked and attacked their family and women at home. She also questioned whether the minister’s criticism was truly aimed at her father or at Minister Lokesh, who had used similar words earlier. Monika said her father stood firm even when police advised him to escape from a back route during the attack, choosing courage over fear. She further asked why leaders selectively speak about respect for mothers while remaining silent when women in opposition leaders’ families are abused. Calling on Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to respond, she said a party born to question must not stay silent on such incidents, and accused the Home Minister of speaking like a party worker instead of acting responsibl
