Tadepalli, Dec 14: The YSR Congress Party’s statewide one crore signatures campaign against the privatization of government medical colleges has concluded on a triumphant note, surpassing its target with overwhelming public support and unprecedented response from citizens concerned about affordable medical education and healthcare. Initiated on the call of party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the movement progressed with revolutionary zeal, receiving extraordinary participation, particularly during constituency-level programs on December 10. Signatures collected from assembly constituency centers have already reached district headquarters, and tomorrow (Monday, December 15, 2025), massive rallies will be organized across all district centers to showcase the petition documents. Following the rallies, YSRCP leaders will flag off special vehicles carrying the signatures from district centers to the party's central office in Tadepalli. To ensure smooth conduct of these vehicle rallies and transportation, the party has officially written to the state Director General of Police, with state general secretary and MLC Lella Appireddy requesting necessary permissions and clear instructions to all district Superintendents of Police. Once the documents reach Tadepalli, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with senior party leaders, will meet the Governor at 4 PM on December 18, 2025, to formally submit the one crore signatures, highlighting the widespread public opposition to the government's move.
