*YSRCP urges Governor to order CBI probe into DSC irregularities*

Vijayawada, June 18: YSRCP leaders on Wednesday met Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer at Lok Bhavan and urged him to order a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process, stating that only an independent investigation can ensure justice to thousands of affected candidates.

A delegation led by Legislative Council Opposition Leader Botcha Satyanarayana, along with MLCs, MLAs and senior party leaders, submitted a memorandum to the Governor detailing large-scale irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment process.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Botcha Satyanarayana alleged that the coalition government had turned the “Mega DSC” into a “Mega scam” by committing irregularities at every stage of the recruitment process. He said YSRCP had raised five major issues before the Governor and pointed out that transparency was lacking throughout the selection process.

Botcha said the government failed to publish selection lists in the manner followed in previous DSC recruitments and uploaded them only after YSRCP questioned the process. He alleged that changes were made to sports quota guidelines through Government Orders and that appointments were granted under categories that were never part of the original system.

He said any genuine government would have ordered an inquiry after complaints and evidence surfaced, but no action was taken. He further alleged that the recruitment process, from question paper preparation to final selections, was manipulated to benefit certain individuals.

Stating that a state-level inquiry would not inspire confidence, Botcha demanded either a CBI probe or an investigation by a sitting High Court judge. He said the Governor responded positively and assured the delegation that he would seek an explanation from the government.

Botcha questioned why the government was reluctant to face a CBI inquiry if the recruitment process was conducted transparently. He said YSRCP had nothing to fear from independent investigations and would continue its fight until a fair probe was ordered.

Referring to the Sai Krishna custodial death case, Botcha described it as a government-sponsored killing and demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. He said a CBI investigation was necessary in that case as well to uncover the truth and restore public confidence in the system.
