YSRCP slams govt for ‘killing through harassment’

Tadepalli, November 16: YSRCP MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar issued a strong statement, declaring that the death of former TTD Assistant Vigilance & Security Officer (AV&SO) Satish Kumar is nothing short of a “government-engineered killing.” Addressing the media at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, he said Satish Kumar was mentally tortured by the SIT in the name of inquiry into the Parakamani theft case and was repeatedly pressured to name YSRCP leaders. He asserted that the coalition government’s only intention behind the SIT probe was to frame YSRCP leaders, and Satish Kumar’s suspicious death occurred directly in this context.
Chandrasekhar said Satish left home at 7 PM and reached the railway station only at midnight, raising unanswered questions about what happened in those missing five hours. Within an hour of boarding the Rayalaseema Express, he was found dead near Tadipatri. Yet without any proper investigation or evidence, TDP leaders and yellow media channels launched a false narrative of murder, even claiming bizarre theories like an axe attack inside an AC coach, something no co-passenger or TTE ever reported. He questioned why the post-mortem was rushed and why Satish Kumar’s wife’s phone was seized and access restricted, calling it a deliberate attempt to distort facts and divert accountability.
The MLA accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of running a “mafia-style government” where whistleblowers and honest officers are harassed, jailed, and destroyed under the so-called Red Book governance. He recalled how several senior IAS and IPS officers—PSR Anjaneyulu in the Jatwani case, Sanjay Kumar in the Margadarsi scam, and Vijayapal in the Raghurama Krishnam Raju case—were illegally detained for weeks, proving systematic persecution of officials who refuse to fall in line. He alleged that the double-engine government claims are a farce and instead the state is witnessing a “trouble-engine regime” obsessed with revenge politics against YSRCP.
Chandrasekhar said the SIT forced Satish Kumar to sit next to a rowdy-sheeter during questioning on November 6, exposing the government’s deep-rooted vendetta. Unable to bear the mental harassment and the pressure to falsely implicate YSRCP leaders, Satish Kumar was pushed to a breaking point. When the conspiracy to use him as a pawn failed, the TDP ecosystem spun a new fabricated narrative of murder to malign the YSRCP, just as they did in the liquor cases.
He condemned the recent attack on the YSRCP office in Hindupur, calling it a shameful act encouraged by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said TDP hooligans, emboldened by the government, are resorting to violence, illegal cases, and now attacks on party offices, but YSRCP’s resolve will not be shaken.
The MLA further exposed the complete collapse of law and order under the coalition government. He pointed to the Rs.350 crore land grabbing scandal involving Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s PA Suresh and MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar, and questioned why self-proclaimed protectors of Sanatana Dharma remain silent when 189 tonnes of beef were seized from a cold storage belonging to a TDP leader in Visakhapatnam. He criticized Chandrababu Naidu for insulting Visakha Steel Plant workers by calling them non-performers, while ignoring the lavish chartered flights used by Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh. He reminded how authorities swiftly acted against former Minister Peddi Reddy over baseless videos but conveniently ignore the illegal constructions at Chandrababu’s own residence on the riverbank and the destructive JCB digging by Pawan Kalyan in forest areas.
Chandrasekhar concluded that all this deliberate misinformation, false cases, and targeted harassment are part of a larger diversion strategy to hide the government’s failures and widespread corruption in sand, mining, liquor, ash, and land dealings. He said the people of Andhra Pradesh clearly see through the government’s tactics and will not be fooled by its diversion politics.
