YSRCP condemns attack on Hindupur office

Tadepalli, Nov 17: Former MLA and YSRCP Uravakonda constituency coordinator Y. Vishweshwar Reddy said the coalition government led by the TDP was adopting undemocratic methods and would collapse soon due to its failures.
Speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he condemned the attack on the Hindupur YSRCP office by TDP workers, calling it a heinous and unacceptable act.
He said the police, instead of stopping the attack, remained silent spectators and later filed SC/ST atrocity cases against YSRCP workers who tried to resist the vandalism. He added that on Sunday, YSRCP leaders travelling to Hindupur were blocked at several locations, proving that the coalition government was using Red Book-style intimidation and suppressing the opposition.
Vishweshwar Reddy said Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna must take full responsibility for the incident. He said such violence occurred on the very day Balakrishna was present in the constituency, raising serious doubts about his involvement. He added that the people of Hindupur were fed up with such behaviour and were distancing themselves from the TDP.
He criticised the police for filing false atrocity cases against victims instead of arresting the attackers. He said ever since the coalition came to power, attacks, destruction of property and intimidation of YSRCP workers had increased across the state.
He also questioned the TDP’s attempt to divert every issue by blaming YSRCP. Referring to the suspicious death of former TTD AVSO Satish Kumar, he said TDP and its allied media spread false murder narratives even before basic investigation or post-mortem was completed. He said such diversion politics exposed the government’s fear of answering real questions.
